Marcela Manjarrez provides strategic communications counsel to CEOs and other C-level executives of large public and private companies as well as nonprofits. She previously held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for Centene Corporation, a Fortune 25, publicly traded company (NYSE: CNC) with over $160B in revenue, where she oversaw all strategic communications for the company, including all health plans and specialty subsidiaries, and managed the Centene Charitable Foundation.
Before Centene, Manjarrez led a fifteen-year successful career at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, where she was Vice President of Public Affairs. Manjarrez led the external communications, industry relations, and public outreach functions for the bank.
Manjarrez serves on the board of directors of Enterprise Financial Services Corp (NASDAQ: EFSC), and Clayco, and on the Advisory Council for Washington University’s Center for Financial and Accounting Research. She is a certified corporate director by Harvard Business School and a member of Extraordinary Women of Boards.
She also serves on the boards of the National Alliance of Hispanic Health, CounterPublic, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
She serves on the board of directors of the Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA).
